Bendheim to Offer New Architectural Glass Program for Sustainable Design (SD) AIA-CES Credit

Bendheim’s new continuing education course on “Specialty Architectural Glass: Enhancing Sustainable Interiors” for SD AIA credit
The course, “Specialty Architectural Glass: Enhancing Sustainable Interiors” (AIA CES # BEND02), is a study of the rich variety of specialty decorative glasses available to building and design professionals to enhance good design and contribute to sustainable building interiors.
 
Participation in the new 1-hour program is free-of-charge and earns industry professionals 1 Health, Safety, and Welfare learning unit (HSW LU). The program also qualifies for Sustainable Design (AIA SD) credit, a new continuing education requirement for AIA members.
 
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
  • Identify two or more methods to manufacture architectural glass
  • Discuss the two major types of safety glass, their benefits and required applications
  • Select the optimal decorative specialty glass to enhance your project’s aesthetics, functional, and environmental performance
  • Identify the LEED category/categories where a select decorative glass can contribute points
 
In-office presentations can be requested for groups of 10 participants or more by e-mailing Jen Miret, CEU Program Coordinator, at education@bendheim.com. Architects, interior designers, specifiers, other building and design professionals, facility managers and owners are welcome and encouraged to attend. The ideal audience size is 15-60 people.
